I decided a little while ago to start writing some Christian book reviews on my favorite Christian books. One thing I've noticed amongst other Christians, is they don't always know what to read or what books will have that meat of Christianity in them vs the soft watered down stuff that can be found in some supposed "Christian fiction."
First off, before I write this review, I want you to know that I only like Christian fiction that tells God for who He is. I don't like watered-down Christianity. Therefore, if a book is classified as true Christian fiction and I like it, it will have a God that is powerful, unstoppable, just, merciful, and just plain AWESOME because God is just that, down right AWESOME.
Okay, to my first review. Let's just say I chose this book as my first review because it is the one that has spoken to me the most over the years. I have read this book a few times. If you want to know anything about God's great love for His children then this book will tell you something, and that something will be amazing.
To not give anything away, because I hate that, this book is about a man's journey from a very tragic and life-changing point in his life, through God showing him the answers he seeks, and finding something utterly amazing in the end. I highly recommend When Heaven Weeps by Ted Dekker.

Confessions
Inspired by my friend at The Rusted Chain.
I don't like milk, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate with any fruit. White chocolate is okay.
I love Scifi and would love to go to Comic-Con someday.
I love Phineas and Ferb!
I am the one who left the gallon of milk in the cupboard. (come on, it was 6 a.m.).
I avoid doing dishes like the plague.
My motto on Christmas decorations; if you can move in your house without bumping into something, you don't have enough decorations.
My motto on Halloween; Hello! Free Candy!
My motto on Easter; Hello! Free Candy!
I don't have a sweet tooth, I just like free things.

Movie Reviews
For those looking for good movie reviews that reveal what is really in a movie, the Movieguide website is a good one. The reviews are done by Ted Baehr (about him here). Although 99% of his reviews are very good, I have only a few discrepancies. First off, sometimes I think he finds good things when there is little and bad things when there is little as well. He is mostly accurate, but I have seen a few movies where I could not find something he mentioned. Those items could have been changed in the movie, but who knows. Also, some of his reviews are more obvious. Take "Clash of the Titans." He spends a considerable time going over the greek mythology in the movie and explaining it away. Although that is good and all for those who know nothing about mythology, it is mythology, most people don't take that seriously anymore. When I find a movie review I think is a little off, I'll probably mention it, but most of the time I do rely on him to let me know exactly what is in a movie and it gives me an overall idea before I waste my money on trash.

Do You Want to Change the World?
It is time for God's children to rise up and do what you have been called to do. God will take you through it one step at a time and make sure you are ready and prepared for what He will have you do. For an awesome resource, one my husband is very fond of, we like to tune into what is happening in the ministry of Jason Westerfield of Kingdom Reality Ministries. He has a great ministry that is reaching the world in awesome and mighty ways. He has put himself in the place where God can use him and giving God all the glory! I highly recommend checking it out for yourself.

For Such a Time as This
How many in the youth generation (all those under 35) have heard about how we are a chosen generation? Well, whoever told you is right! We are the generation that is flowing in the new wine and bringing God to the nations in a way never seen before. God is using us to flow deep into the places that people were afraid to go before. God is making history with this generation. Bondages are being broken because we are the generation with the faith to truly believe that when God says Nothing is impossible, we are going to believe HIM!!! We are gonna change the World!! Do not be afraid to rise up and shout it out from the top of your longs. We, us WE are a chosen generation!!!

Crying Out
One of the first steps in becoming a new believer in Christ is repentence, but even after salvation, there is need to cry out to God and say, "God, I have been lost, and I need Your mercy and Your grace every day of my life."

How He Loves Us
I think I've said it before, but it certainly bares repeating. God loves us so much. It really is amazing how much he loves us. Everything He has done has been for love. Amazing really.
