Busy Bee am Me

I hope everyone had a marvelous 4th of July.  I don't remember what we did.  Hmmmm??  Oh yes, we went to the in-laws and had hamburgers then watched some so-so (not so good) fireworks from one casino, then drove to the other one and watched theirs.  Those were much better ;).  My daughter slept right through the Bang-Pop-Bang, but oh well, she was just doing what I wish I was doing. ;).

I am taking a new step in a new adventure.  I take a lot of adventures I find.  I don't complete all of them, but I am pretty sure this one I will.  I am taking an adventure into the world of Polymer clay.  I've had some supplies for a while now, tried my hand and then realized my hand wasn't very good at it.  Oh woe is me.  But, just these past few days I've watched hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours (whew, take a breather) and hours, and hours of tutorials and read lots, and lots, and lots (not gonna go there) of information on it and am actually all excited.  So, I've been trying my hand at it and discovered that my hand does not suck at it as bad as I thought it would.  Who knew?  God knew! I know that, but I just wanted to say, "Who knew."

I'm still not a pro, but I have big plans in my head that will soon have me hatching out jewelry designs that I will be loathe to sell, which is what it should be, haha!

In all honesty, I've been looking for a while for something that I could really say is mine.  I guess I got a little tired of just putting beads together with no ME really in there, not really anyway.  So, this will be a part of me.  I love to paint and am not half bad (thanks to my dads genes), but I never really wanted to sell paintings.  No offense, but even I don't care for most paintings.  I like things just a little more spunky ;).  So, this will be my spunk ;).  Keep your eyes open for some jewelry with poly clay pendants, some beads, some whatever.  The first items I sell with the poly clay will be have a lower price then my later works because I know they will have more flaws then anything I later produce.  As I get better and am able to perfect the craft just a tad then prices will go up, but who wouldn't love to say they have one of the first ;).

God Bless!!
