Delirious Chords: History Maker

This is one of my favorite Delirious songs.  In all honesty, I love most if not all of their songs.  The significance of this one is that it is true that when we pray the dead can rise, the blind can see.  It is happening in the world today.  God only seems limited because of the limits we place on Him, not because He actually is limited.  It is true today!!  Be a history maker!

Song: History Maker

Performed: Delirious

Album: King of Fools

Bass intro: A F

Verse:

Am F

Is it true today that when people pray

Am F

Cloudless skies will break, Kings and Queens will shake?

Pre-chorus:

G F

Yes it's true!! And I believe in it:

C G/B Am F

I'm living for you.

Asus4 F

Is it true today that when people pray

Asus4 F

We'll see dead men rise, and the blind set free?

G F

Yes it's true!! And I believe in it:

C G/B Am F

I'm living for you.

C Am F

I'm gonna be a History Maker in this land:

C Am F

I'm gonna be a speaker of truth to all mankind;

C G/B Am F C G/B

I'm gonna stand, I'm gonna run into your arms,

Am F

Into your arms again.

A F

Well it's true today that when people stand

A F

With the fire of God and the truth at hand

A F

We'll see miracles, we'll see angels sing

A F

We'll see broken hearts making history!!

G F

Yes it's true!! And I believe in it:

C G/B Am F

We're living for you.

C Am F

I'm gonna be a History Maker in this land:

C Am F

I'm gonna be a speaker of truth to all mankind;

C G/B Am F C G/B

I'm gonna stand, I'm gonna run into your arms,

Am F

Into your arms again.

C Am F

I'm gonna be a History Maker in this land:

C Am F

I'm gonna be a speaker of truth to all mankind;

Am G/B C F C G/B

I'm gonna stand, I'm gonna run into your arms,

Am F

Into your arms again.

C G/B Am F

Into your arms...

C

Into your arms...

Why Men

Become.com; Shopping Made Easier

I am not a huge fan of shopping online although I do it all the time, so anything that makes it easier is highly appreciated.  Become.com is another one of those websites that allow you to search for one item from multiple sources.  For instance, if you are looking for animal print wallpaper, then results will span from Target.com to Amazon.com and more.  You can see what I mean by clicking Here, or you can do your own search by going Here.

This seems to a relatively new site and still needs some work.  The search features are not  all there and can sometimes take you somewhere you didn't want to go.  Become.com does offer a wider selection in the Home & Garden, Jewelry, Clothing, and Health & Beauty sections, which I found had a lot to choose from and liked very much, but the electronics section could use a little improvement.  Nevertheless, sites like this are designed to make shopping easier and I do think that after some more tweaking of the site it can be as valuable to us online shoppers as the other search sites out there.  I recommend checking it out and coming back now and again to watch it grow.

Mammogram Poem

I love funny.  Who doesn't?  I found this most awesome poem entitled "The Mammogram."  I have yet to experience this delight, but I know many who have, so for you, I hope this gets a laugh, and for me, well, I'm praying the new one without the vise will be out by the time I need it.  Here's to praying!!!

The Mammogram

By Julia Napier©

For years and years they told me,

Be careful of your breasts.

Don't ever squeeze or bruise them.

And give them monthly tests.

So I heeded all their warnings,

And protected them by law.

Guarded them very carefully,

And I always wore my bra.

After 30 years of astute care,

My gyno, Dr. Pruitt,

Said I should get a Mammogram.

"O.K." I said, 'let's do it."

"Stand up here real close" she said,

(She got my boob in line),

"And tell me when it hurts," she said,

"Ah yes! Right there, that's fine."

She stepped upon a pedal,

I could not believe my eyes!

A plastic plate came slamming down,

My hooter's in a vise!

My skin was stretched and mangled,

From underneath my chin.

My poor boob was being squashed,

To Swedish Pancake thin.

Excruciating pain I felt,

Within it's vise-like grip.

A prisoner in this vicious thing,

My poor defenseless tit!

"Take a deep breath" she said to me,

Who does she think she's kidding?!?

My chest is mashed in her machine,

And woozy I am getting.

"There, that's good," I heard her say,

(The room was slowly swaying.)

"Now, let's have a go at the other one."

Have mercy, I was praying.

It squeezed me from both up and down,

It squeezed me from both sides.

I'll bet SHE'S never had this done,

To HER tender little hide.

Next time that they make me do this,

I will request a blindfold.

I have no wish to see again,

My knockers getting steam rolled.

If I had no problem when I came in,

I surely have one now.

If there had been a cyst in there,

It would have gone "ker-pow!"

This machine was created by a man,

Of this, I have no doubt.

I'd like to stick his balls in there,

And see how THEY come out!

Auto Repair Help

I love useful sites.  Perhaps it's just me, but I really do love being able to figure out a plan of attack from the information other sites provide.  Today we have RepairPal!

RepairPal is  a great site where you can get an estimate on auto repair costs in their RepairPrice Estimator, which I must admit, I think is just awesome.  There, if you have gotten an estimate at a repair shop, you can use the estimator to help you determine whether your estimate was fair or not.  That has to be one of my fave features on the site since that seems to be the number one thing you hear people wondering about.

You can use their Repair Shops search to find a specific repair shop in a given area, such as when searching for Phoenix auto repair, you can see the results Here.

You can find specific cars, see their rating, and find out common problems associated with that car such as this 2001 Ford Escort. You can also read user reviews, ask questions, and get answers from people who most likely know what they are talking about.  No more asking Uncle Earl!

In the Auto Repair Encyclopedia you can look up whatever the repair shop says is wrong with your car, or even try to get an idea of what could have happened to your car.  Here you can see what is involved in timing belt replacement how the problem could have occurred, and what the mechanic will (or should) be doing to replace it.  If that doesn't answer all your questions, you can ask questions!

Just like the timing belt, if you need water pump replacement, you can find that information Here.

I am actually excited about this website, because if you are anything like me, you know nothing about cars except that they have wheels.  Even for the car savvy, this website is a great resource.  Bookmark it!

C28: My Item of the week

I decided to try and let the whole world know a little bit more about one of my Fave companies out there that I even created a page for it, ;).  Crazy me, huh, but the thing I love so much about this company (as you can see from my many banners) is the fact that a portion of what you buy goes to a ministry.  It isn't just a t-shirt company that is in it for themselves.  They help new artists emerge, they support ministries, and they also lead other things to help spread the word of Jesus Christ, the precious Gospel.  I highly recommend them and encourage everyone to do a little Christmas shopping from them and also support a great ministry at the same exact time.  Use my links and banners to get there ;), and you can help me get a Christmas present for myself.  I love you all, and God Bless!!

My item of the week!

Holy is His name stamped boldly on this v-neck tee makes for an incredible declaration of who Jesus is. Printed in the ‘O’ to form a cross is Psalm 111:9, which tells us, "He has paid a full ransom for His people. He has guaranteed His covenant with them forever. What a holy, awe-inspiring name He has!" To reinforce His celebrated name, ‘Jesus’ is printed in the ‘A’ to form a second cross to complete this awesome tee. Truly, Holy is His name!

OXIS International: Quick Review

A quick description of this company is: Advancing Oxidative Stress Technology Oxis International, Inc. (OTCBB: OXIS) is the premiere provider for the potent antioxidant, Ergothioneine and through their patented synthetic manufacturing process remains the only significant commercial source of pure l-ergothioneine worldwide. http://www.bloggerwave.com/Bloggerwave/c/403/34240/0

I know you are probably thinking what I was.  What on earth is that?  L-ergothioneine is a part of a "super antioxidant" compound.  There are a few things I found that I liked about this company.  I liked that they focus on naturally occurring protective substances since they are more likely to be both safe.  In a world of "all natural" products being the big go to, a company that tries to focus on that is probably doing a good job.  On their website, they have a great page that explains the potential benefits of Ergothioneine better than I could.  Being a big science buff, I loved how they describe the benefits all the way down to the mitochondria (it's in all your cells in case you didn't know).  It even could conserve and maintain the levels of other antioxidants such as Vitamin E, Vitamin C and glutathione.

Oxis also has several therapeutic compounds that are actual remedies that can be used to treat diseases.  One of Oxis's goals is to be able to treat abnormalities that occur from free radicals, and Oxis's  will also have anti-aging products based on powerful natural substances.  For investors, you can look into their penny stocks.

For those interested, I actually found myself loving their Twitter account more than anything because they tweet some great health advise and more.  They seem to actually be concerned about a persons well being and am looking forward to seeing the ongoing success of this company.Oxis on Twitter
Or you can follow then on Facebooks as well.Oxis on facebook

Take a look at them and let me know what you think.

Christian Book Store

Generated image

In an attempt to have my own little Christian Bookstore, (a secret dream of mine), I decided to make one online using a shop from Amazon.  I love this little feature that Amazon provides.  I just thought I'd let you all know.  ;).  I plan on adding more items as I get time, but all the books, movies, and CD's will be items I personally recommend.  I will not have anything in my store that I am clueless about or disagree with.  Check it out, do some early Christmas shopping, and let me know what you would like added.

Awe Man!

A couple of days ago my laptop decided to take a nose dive into some unknown territory known as my hard drive being a little messed up.  Fun stuff, I know.  I've been out a couple of days due to that mainly, plus my son getting some weird rash that is finally clearing up.  We had to reboot the computer into it's manufacturer condition, which means I lost everything saved on the computer!  Luckily, I have most items of importance saved on my little usb flash drive, but I had things I would have liked to have kept, gotta find again, man this is gonna suck, things not saved.  Including all my chord charts.  No huge worries there because I have them all printed out, but now I have to retype them and then, without delay, save them on my usb.  I think I might get an external hard drive, so I can put a lot more on it, but my usb is 8 gb which seems to do okay.  All right, now that I have spilled my heart out (okay not really) you now know the woes of my existence.  Stay tuned for more woes, yays, and whatever else my brain leaks.

Weegy: Have a Question?

I found this and thought it was rather interesting.  This is another site that allows you to talk with experts and get answers to questions you may have.  Most of the answers are free, but you do have an option of paying for an answer that may be difficult to come by for free.  Check it out Here and see if you like it.

Love Is Waiting: Brooke Fraser Chords

A song that has a deep meeting for everyone, especially for those looking for love.
This song touched me as it has so many others.
Be blessed.

Brooke Fraser
Love Is Waiting
Album: Albertine

INTRO: G Em7 C2

VERSE 1:

G Em7 C2
In the autumn on the ground

G Em7 C2
Between the traffic and the ordinary sounds

G Em7 C2
I am thinking signs and seasons

G Em7 C2
While a north wind blows through

G Em7 C2
I watch as lovers pass me by

G Em7 C2
Walking stories, who’s and how’s and why’s

G Em7 C2
Musing lazily on love, pondering you

PRE-CHORUS:

Am7
Let’s give it time, give it space

D
And be still for a spell

Am7
When it’s time to walk that way

C2 D
We wanna walk it well

CHORUS:

G Em7 C2
I’ll be waiting for you baby

G Em7 C2
I’ll be holding back the darkest night

G Em7 C2
Love is waiting ‘til we’re ready

G Em7
‘Til it’s right

C2
Love is waiting

VERSE 2

It’s my caution not the cold

There’s no other hand that I would rather hold

The climate changes, I’m singing for strangers about you

Don’t keep time, slow the pace

Honey hold on if you can

The bets are getting surer now

That you’re my man

CHORUS

BRIDGE

Am7 Em D G
I could write a million songs about the way you say my name

Am7 Em D G
I could live a lifetime with you and then do it all again

Am7 Em
And like I can’t force the sun to rise

D G
Or hasten summer’s start

F C D
Neither should I rush my way into your heart

CHORUS

Age to Age Chords: Hillsong United

I think all of us, if not most, have that song that just hits home.  Worship is no exception to this rule.  I have found myself playing over and over again on my keyboard this song by Hillsong United called Age to Age.  It's incredibly simply to play, but so very powerful in it's simplicity.
Hopefully you are as blessed by it as I have been.  I recommend when in private worship changing the lyrics to first person, such as "I" instead of "us."

Hillsong United

Croison Pony: Story Behind the Art

I personally love it when art has a story behind it.  It doesn't matter the art, sewing, painting, sculpting, etch.  I just love stories.  From my fellow CAPS Team member we find the Croison Pony, an extremely adorable creation if you ask me, with a lovely story in it's making.  From BusyBeeworker: The Croison Pony.

"My Great Aunt Lois Croison (my Mom's aunt, grandmother's sister) drafted patterns and made ceramics during the depression to help keep them going. Thus, the name, Croison Pony, for the pony pattern she drafted, in honor of her. I was told that her pattern sold to Singer Company back then. But, as far as I've been able to find out, my Mom (now 89) and I are the only ones that still have the pattern. My daughter and daughter-in-law will inherit it from me some day."

Beautiful!  I love history, don't you!

Garden Trellis with Angel by Angels and Everlastings

This is a wonderful item handmade by a beautiful Sister in Christ.  Please take a moment to Oooh and Aaaah.  Click on the picture to see more of her wonderful items.
From AngelsNEverlastings
This is a beautiful hand made angel on a garden trellis base.
I make these angels myself by hand. It measures approximately 12" high x 12" wide. This one is decorated with a variety of pretty pink and mauve dried flowers and fragrant lavender.

I personally love all the floral and the country look in her items.  The word that comes to mind is delicate.  I love delicate things!

Who's Got Your Rib?

This isn't really the rib I mean, but it serves a purpose too.

Have you ever seen those ads for people looking for love online?  Although there are many people who have legitimately found love that way there are many who are still looking and are often looking in the wrong place.

In a way, this message is more for the guys, but girls can get something to. ;)

My husband brought out a good point that made me laugh and think at the same time.  After seeing an online dating commercial my hubby said that finding love would not be so difficult for most guys if they would just look for the girl who had their rib.

Of course it made me pause and go, "What?" thinking my husband needed to go to bed, but then I realized he meant like Adam and Eve.  Eve had Adam's rib.

The way many Orthodox Jews find a wife or companion is similar to that of a dating site except they are focused on the long term love verses the romantic love that people in a "want it now society" strive for.  They understand that true love does not happen in the immediate, but it happens after years of companionship.

As I am coming upon my 9th Anniversary with my husband on Wednesday, June 9th, I have been noticing those marriages that have lasted forever.  In all honesty, my parents marriage stands out significantly to me.

My parents are crazy.  I love them immensely but they are crazy.  They are always driving each other nuts and yet for some reason beyond comprehension they are still together.  I have come to the conclusion that my mother has my father's rib.  He cannot live without her because she has a part of him that he needs.

The ribs protect the heart and having one missing makes our heart just a little more vulnerable to being hurt.  When a man finds the girl who has his rib, well, he now has a fully protected heart.
That's not to say he won't feel his heart having an attach every now and then (romantically speaking) because the ribs don't protect you from that, but it does protect your heart from being pierced or crushed.

As the number of years I have been with my own husband I can honestly say that I do believe I have his rib.

So, for the men looking for love.  Stop looking for the hair or body type, look a little lower, just above the belly, below the breasts (that's a hard one) and look for your rib.

Dumb Law of the Day: Fake Moustache

Beware all you fake moustache wearers in Alabama!
It is illegal to wear a fake moustache that causes laughter in church.
But then again, would a person wearing a fake moustache actually be in a church.  Rather deceptive is it not.  Hmmmmm?

You Learn Something New Everyday!

I'm sure we have all heard the saying that "You learn something new everyday," but how many of us actually take that as fact.

Learning is not just about what 5+5 is (it is 10), but rather taking a look at every situation you find yourself in and learning from what is around you or what you experience.

When I was younger I used to see a bunch of drunk people and people on drugs (thanks to the many Biker Rallies my family went to), and I learned by watching that I never wanted to be drunk (and never have).

When I would find myself in a situation that I didn't like or didn't like the way it made me feel, I learned to never repeat that situation.

We can learn by watching our words and the way they affect the people around us.

We can learn by each step we take.  What is the ripple effect of your steps?

When you are confused, stressed, or just plain blank, take a look around you and learn.

Some things I've learned recently:

When something is cool in my eyes my son disagrees.

Toddlers and cereal don't mix when said toddler is angry.

If it looks like it can be used to climb, my toddler will inevitably use it.

Don't ever forget about the avocados at the back of the pantry. (Shivers)

It is not wise to do biology experiments in your fridge (i.e. that month old jar of spaghetti sauce at the back that has a nice culture growing).

No matter what kind of bad hair day I am having, I must always be grateful it doesn't look like His!!

What have you learned today?
